WOW… 5 MONTHS OF LA CERCHIA!
I honestly can’t believe it has been five months since I started La Cerchia.
I still remember sitting around the table at those first meetings and hearing some of the ladies say, “Do I really have to speak for two minutes?” Some were so nervous and shy about standing up and talking about themselves and their businesses.
Fast forward five months and I’m now watching those same women not only confidently give their two-minute updates but stand in front of the group and present for 20 minutes.
That transformation is probably one of the things I am most proud of.
Each week I get to watch these incredible women stand up and share who they are, what they do, their knowledge and, most importantly, their story.
Because La Cerchia was never meant to be just another networking or coffee group.
It’s about connection. Confidence. Growth.
It’s about women genuinely backing one another, sharing knowledge, opening doors and understanding what it really takes to run a business.
Because as business owners, we don't just show up.
Behind the scenes, we can be the admin person, the social media girl, the salesperson, the creator, the problem solver, the organiser and the one lying awake at 2am thinking about what needs to happen next!
We are the creators of our own destiny.
My friends often tell me, “Virginia, you take on too much!” And maybe sometimes I do. But when you work for yourself, there are times when you have to push. You have to have drive, resilience and a belief in what you are creating.
And work-life balance? I'm still trying to work that one out! But I love what I do, and I genuinely wouldn't have it any other way.
Five months in, I absolutely love this group of intelligent, driven and inspiring women and I am incredibly proud to stand beside them as they grow in confidence and in business.

Over 10 years ago, I founded EVE Women in Business, the very first women’s networking group in Whakatāne.
At the time, I was also juggling a growing young family, building La Vita Magazine, and pursuing opportunities in the cooking and television world. Eventually, life became incredibly busy, and I passed the group on to someone else.
But I never lost my passion for bringing women together.
Today, launching La Cerchia by La Vita felt like life coming full circle… which feels beautifully ironic really, considering La Cerchia means “The Circle.”
This time, I return with even more knowledge, experience, confidence, and appreciation for how important genuine connection between women really is.
Seeing familiar faces from my original EVE group sitting around the table today honestly meant so much to me. Hearing how excited they were to see me creating this space again was incredibly special.
Thank you to every woman who attended today and shared part of your story. The honesty, encouragement, support, laughter, and inspiration in the room created something truly powerful.
For me, this is about far more than networking.

Creating opportunities.
